What It Fixes

Paint Correction, Explained

Automatic car washes, dirty towels and years of sun leave fine scratches in the clear coat. In daylight they show up as swirls, haze and a finish that never quite looks clean.

Paint correction levels the clear coat with machine polishers and compounds until those defects are gone, so the paint reflects light the way it did new.

Two Levels

Enhancement or Full Correction

Paint Enhancement

A one-step polish for newer or well-kept paint. Removes light swirls and haze and brings back the gloss. The usual prep before a ceramic coating.

Full Paint Correction

A two-step compound and polish for paint with heavier swirls, haze and scratches. More time on the car, and a bigger change in how it looks.

The Process

How We Correct Paint

Wash & Decontaminate

Hand wash, then iron and tar removal so the polisher only touches clean paint.

Inspect

Every panel checked under light to see what the paint needs.

Machine work panel by panel, cutting out defects and refining the finish.

Protect

Finished with a sealant, or best of all a ceramic coating.

Make It Last

Lock It In With a Coating

Corrected paint is the best your car will look, and a ceramic coating is how you keep it there. Pair the two and the gloss lasts for years, not weeks.

FAQs

Paint Correction FAQs

What is the difference between paint enhancement and paint correction?

A paint enhancement is a one-step polish that removes light swirls and restores gloss. A full correction uses more steps and more time to take out heavier defects. We look at your paint and tell you which one it needs.

Can paint correction remove every scratch?

It removes defects that sit in the clear coat, like swirls, haze and light scratches. A scratch that has gone through the clear coat to the color or primer cannot be polished out safely. We will point those out before we start.

Should I coat my car after paint correction?

We recommend it. Without protection, corrected paint picks up new swirls from washing. A ceramic coating keeps the finish you paid for.

Where is paint correction done?

At our shop on 52nd Ave in South Sacramento, by appointment. Correction needs steady light and no sun or rain on the paint.
